As you may well know, QBE Foundation was launched globally in April 2011 as part of our corporate responsibility initiative. With a focus on vocational opportunities globally, we support educational and work opportunities as well as work ready initiatives. You can find out more detail on these types of initiatives and the charities that we have partnered with for 2011 as you make your way around our new site.
What’s this website all about?
After an overwhelming response from QBE employees wanting to find out more about current charity initiatives, local grants and volunteering and just how they can take part, we decided to create a website dedicated solely to QBE Foundation. This site is a place for you to visit if you have anything at all to say about QBE Foundation including questions about getting involved to suggestions for future charities and everything else in between. It is a place to come to have your questions answered and to provide you with all the information you need to help you get involved. Our committee members will regularly respond to any questions that you post in the 3 forums that sit within this site which are; local grants, partnerships and volunteering (link). We also encourage you to have a look around the site and keep up-to-date with the forums as you may find that your questions will be answered along the way.
So if you have any interest in QBE Foundation at all you have definitely come to the right place!
Getting started with QBE Foundation:
1. Your profile
First of all, you will need to sign up for profile using your QBE email address (link). In your profile you can upload a picture of yourself and post a status message to other QBE Foundation members. Once your profile is set up you will be free to view the forums and post questions, comments and discussion points as you wish.
2. The blog
Right here on the blog page you can read our regular posts to keep up-to-date with all the latest QBE Foundation news.
3. Newsletter
We encourage everyone to sign up to our monthly newsletter (link) also featuring the latest news and sharing all of your recent activities. The newsletter is open to everyone so even if you have not yet created a profile or are outside of QBE you can still be kept in the loop.
